Electric vehicle pioneer Tesla is accelerating its India expansion, confirming the launch of its second major showroom and experience centre in the capital, New Delhi. Scheduled for inauguration on August 11, 2025, the new outlet is strategically located at Worldmark 3 in the thriving business and hospitality hub of Aerocity, adjacent to the Indira Gandhi International Airport. This move comes just weeks after Tesla made its long-awaited Indian debut by opening its first showroom in Mumbai on July 15.

Key Highlights of Tesla’s Delhi Launch

The new experience centre at Delhi’s Aerocity will serve as a flagship destination, offering potential buyers immersive access to Tesla’s electric vehicle technology, test drives, and customer services.

Worldmark 3 is an upscale commercial hub known for its premium retail presence and accessibility for both city residents and international travelers.

Tesla’s Mumbai outlet, situated at the Maker Maxity Mall in Bandra Kurla Complex, marked the brand’s entry into the Indian market, setting a precedent for a similar customer engagement model in Delhi.

Showroom Features and Offerings

The Delhi outlet, in the final stages of preparation, is designed to reflect Tesla’s signature premium aesthetic. Images already circulating on social media showcase a sleek, modern façade matching Tesla’s global brand.

As with its Mumbai counterpart, the Aerocity experience centre is expected to offer display models, guided exploration of Tesla features, and hands-on technology demonstrations by trained staff.

The centre will focus primarily on the Tesla Model Y, which was launched in India last month and is available in two variants: a standard rear-wheel-drive option with a 500km WLTP-certified range and a long-range variant that can cover up to 622km on a single charge.

Market Significance and Customer Experience

With this launch, Tesla aims to tap into Delhi’s massive and affluent consumer base, known for its quick adoption of high-end mobility solutions and keen interest in sustainable technology.

The Aerocity outlet’s proximity to the airport is a strategic advantage, ensuring brand visibility and convenience for both business travelers and local buyers.

The new centre paves the way for priority delivery of Tesla vehicles to Delhi-NCR customers and is expected to attract EV enthusiasts, tech aficionados, and corporate clientele alike.

Tesla’s Expansion Strategy in India

Following the Mumbai launch, Tesla has already installed its first set of superchargers at the Bandra Kurla Complex, with future plans for charging infrastructure in Navi Mumbai, Lower Parel, and Thane.

The company has identified Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Gurugram as focus cities for priority vehicle deliveries and enhanced customer support.

The Delhi launch is viewed as a critical step in Tesla’s long-term plan to establish a manufacturing, research, and development footprint in India, leveraging the country’s growing demand for sustainable and luxury mobility.

What to Expect on Opening Day

The experience centre opens doors to the public on August 11, following a formal inauguration ceremony.

Customers will be able to explore the Model Y in detail, book test drives, and make vehicle reservations directly at the site.

Reports indicate a high monthly rental for the premium space, signalling Tesla’s confidence in the Indian luxury and green mobility market.

What’s Next for EVs in India?

Tesla’s entry is expected to catalyse the premium electric vehicle market in Delhi and beyond, pushing other automakers to enhance their offerings.

The brand’s focus on both product and infrastructure suggests a comprehensive approach to driving EV adoption in urban India.

As Tesla plans further expansion, local manufacturing and increased model availability could make cutting-edge electric mobility accessible to a wider segment of Indian consumers.

In sum, Tesla’s new Delhi Aerocity showroom is more than a retail outlet; it’s a statement of intent in one of the world’s fastest-evolving EV markets. The August 11 opening, strategically located for maximum footfall and visibility, promises an immersive brand experience and marks a pivotal leap in Tesla’s Indian journey.
