DPIIT Slides into Paytm's DMs: A Match Made in Startup Heaven

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has entered into a historic Memorandum of Understanding with Paytm to promote innovation and drive the development of manufacturing and fintech startups in India. Through this association, Paytm will offer mentorship, infrastructure facilities, market access, and funding opportunities to startups. The program will enable entrepreneurs to have access to the necessary resources to create innovative payment and financial technology solutions. Paytm will introduce special programs to help fintech hardware manufacturers such as Soundbox and PoS device manufacturers. The partnership also emphasizes regulatory and compliance support in the form of workshops and advice. This strategic partnership reflects the government's effort to enhance India's status as a global innovation center.
