The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued an important new notice regarding the 2025 Phase 13 Selection Post recruitment, providing relief and clarity for over 59,000 aspirants affected by previous technical disruptions. The much-awaited rescheduled exam date is now officially set for Augus...

Key Highlights: Why the Exam Was Rescheduled

The original SSC Phase 13 exam was marred by significant technical glitches, server disruptions, and operational challenges during its first attempt for thousands, resulting in incomplete or missed attempts by around 59,500 candidates nationwide.

Prompted by widespread student protests and a detailed log analysis, the Commission decided to organize a re-exam rather than cancel the entire recruitment process, ensuring fair access for all affected aspirants.

Rescheduled Exam Date and Important Deadlines

The SSC Selection Post Phase 13 re-exam will now be held on August 29, 2025, across designated centers in India.

From August 22, 2025, candidates can view their city intimation slips on the official SSC portal (ssc.gov.in) to confirm the centre location for the rescheduled test.

The admit card download window opens on August 26, 2025; candidates must log in to their SSC accounts to retrieve the hall ticket, which will include details such as reporting time and exam centre.

Direct communication will also be sent by SSC’s regional offices via email and SMS to inform affected candidates of their rescheduled test.

Who Is Eligible for the Re-Exam

Only those candidates whose earlier attempts were hindered by technical problems—confirmed by SSC’s server log review—are eligible for the August 29 re-exam.

Candidates can check their individual status by logging in to their official portal with registration credentials.

The measure was adopted to maintain fairness without disrupting the overall recruitment calendar for thousands of other aspirants who already completed the test successfully.

What Candidates Should Do Next

Immediately visit the SSC portal to confirm rescheduled status and download the city slip (from August 22).

Download the admit card starting August 26, and read all exam instructions carefully.

Monitor emails and SMS notifications from SSC for any urgent updates.

Prepare exam materials and documents in advance, as stricter technical monitoring is promised to prevent future disruptions.

Challenge Process and Further Steps

After the conclusion of the rescheduled exam, candidates will have the opportunity to challenge any specific questions or discrepancies through the official SSC process.

The commission has reiterated its commitment to transparent conduct and will be subjecting the exam platforms to enhanced operational readiness checks before the re-exam date.

Conclusion

SSC’s decision to reschedule the Phase 13 exam exemplifies swift administrative response to technical setbacks, balancing transparency, and candidate welfare. The upcoming August 29 re-exam represents a crucial opportunity for eligible aspirants to fairly compete for coveted positions across government departments, restoring faith in the recruitment system.
