In a candid and light-hearted interaction, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan opened up about his son Aryan Khan’s much-anticipated directorial debut, the Netflix series Ba***ds of Bollywood. The series, which explores the glitzy yet chaotic world of Bollywood, has created considerable buzz among fans and industry insiders alike. SRK's remarks during a recent interactive #AskSRK session on X (formerly Twitter) provided fans with a rare peek into the superstar’s thoughts on Aryan’s work behind the camera.

Key Highlights of Shah Rukh Khan’s Review and Insights on Aryan Khan’s Debut

Shah Rukh described the series as very good, entertaining, wacky, and emotional, urging viewers to watch and decide for themselves while praising his son’s directorial skills with an “honest review.”

The first look of Ba***ds of Bollywood is set to be unveiled on August 17, 2025, with Netflix India announcing the release following a playful exchange between SRK and the platform.

The star confirmed his own cameo appearance in the series, along with several Bollywood celebrities including Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, Bobby Deol, and Mona Singh, adding star power to Aryan’s project.

Aryan Khan has pursued filmmaking with this series after opting not to follow his father and sister Suhana Khan into acting.

The series, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, promises a mix of dark comedy and an insider’s look at the Hindi film industry, focusing on the lives of hopefuls navigating Bollywood’s highs and lows.

During the session, a fan asked when Aryan would debut as an actor, to which SRK humorously replied that he prefers Aryan to be celebrated as a director first, avoiding “competition” at home for the time being.

Shah Rukh also revealed that his wife Gauri Khan, producer of the series, is the proudest supporter of Aryan’s debut work.

SRK joked about his son’s secrecy, sharing that Aryan does not keep him in the loop much, prompting him to turn to Netflix for updates on the project.

The camaraderie and father-son relationship drew warm reactions online, with fans expressing excitement for Aryan’s big directorial launch and appreciating SRK’s candidness.
