Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav unveiled the ‘Vision India’ initiative to connect with young voters ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. The campaign, beginning with a startup summit in Bengaluru, aims to promote progressive, inclusive values and showcase SP’s development roadmap through nationwide youth outreach and engagement.

SP’s ‘Vision India’ Sets Stage for Youth-Centric Political Campaign

In a strategic move to energize its youth base, the Samajwadi Party (SP) launched its new national program, ‘Vision India’, on November 11, 2025, at the party headquarters in Lucknow. Party president Akhilesh Yadav announced the initiative as a platform to build a progressive, scientific, and inclusive India, with a clear focus on youth engagement ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.

The campaign will kick off with the Vision India Startup Summit in Bengaluru on November 16, and later expand to other cities across the country.

Key Highlights from the Launch:

Youth-Centric Political Strategy

Akhilesh Yadav emphasized that the initiative is designed to connect with young Indians, addressing their aspirations and aligning them with SP’s development vision.

Nationwide Rollout Planned

After Bengaluru, the campaign will reach other metros and university hubs, aiming to create a dialogue between youth and policymakers.

Focus on Progressive Ideals

The initiative promotes values of scientific thinking, social inclusivity, and economic opportunity, positioning SP as a forward-looking party.

Rejecting Divisive Politics

Yadav stated that SP stands against sectarianism and polarization, and seeks to unite youth around shared goals of growth and equality.

Platform for Innovation and Dialogue

Events under Vision India will include startup showcases, policy discussions, and interactive sessions with young entrepreneurs and students.

Rebranding SP’s Image

The campaign also serves to reframe SP’s identity from a regional party to a national voice for youth and innovation.

Strategic Timing Ahead of 2027 Polls

With elections two years away, the initiative is seen as a long-term investment in voter engagement, especially among first-time voters.

‘Vision India’ reflects SP’s intent to modernize its outreach and build a youth-led movement rooted in development, dialogue, and democratic values.
