New Stores in Key Indian Cities

Apple’s upcoming stores will be located in:

Mumbai
Delhi NCR
Bengaluru
Pune

These cities were selected for their strong consumer base, tech-savvy populations, and growing demand for premium smartphones. The new outlets will build on the success of Apple’s first two Indian stores—Apple BKC in Mumbai and Apple Saket in Delhi—which opened in 2023 and quickly became major attractions during product launches and festive seasons.

Why India Matters to Apple

India has emerged as a critical growth market for Apple, thanks to:

Rising disposable incomes
Expanding smartphone penetration
A growing appetite for premium devices

Apple reported a 13% year-over-year increase in iPhone sales globally in Q3 2025, with India contributing significantly to this surge. The company’s retail strategy in India is not just about selling devices—it’s about creating immersive brand experiences and fostering long-term customer loyalty.

Retail Strategy: More Than Just Stores

Apple’s retail expansion is part of a broader global strategy that includes:

New stores in the United Arab Emirates, including one in Al Ain
Launch of the Apple Store Online in Saudi Arabia
A new location in Osaka, Japan

In India, Apple is actively hiring for its new stores. John Taffe, an Apple Store leader, shared on LinkedIn that the company is looking for “passionate and talented individuals” to join its retail team, emphasizing Apple’s commitment to creating jobs and delivering personalized customer service2.

iPhone 17 Launch: A Perfect Synergy

The timing of the store openings aligns perfectly with the iPhone 17 series launch, expected on September 9, 2025. The new lineup includes:

iPhone 17
iPhone 17 Air
iPhone 17 Pro
iPhone 17 Pro Max

Key Features Expected

48MP triple-lens camera system on Pro models
24MP selfie camera
A19 Pro chipset
ProMotion OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate
Aluminum frame redesign
New color options: White, Black, Dark Blue, Orange, Grey

Prices in India are expected to start at ₹89,999 for the base model and go up to ₹1,64,990 for the Pro Max4.

Manufacturing and Supply Chain Shift

Apple’s expansion in India isn’t limited to retail. The company is also ramping up local manufacturing, with flagship models like the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max now being assembled in India. This move helps Apple diversify its supply chain away from China and leverage India’s skilled workforce and favorable business environment.

Global Vision, Local Impact

Apple’s retail and manufacturing investments in India reflect a broader vision:
