Prime Minister Narendra Modi's flagship initiative, Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2025, has achieved a historic milestone by entering the Guinness World Records for the "Most people registered on a Citizen Engagement Platform in one month." This remarkable accomplishment was formally recognized during a special ceremony held in New Delhi, reflecting the massive public enthusiasm and participation in this unique educational engagement programme.

Key Highlights of the Achievement

Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025 recorded an unprecedented 3.53 crore valid registrations on the MyGov platform during its eighth edition.

The event also garnered over 21 crore viewers across various television and digital media platforms in 2025, making it one of India's most widely watched educational initiatives.

The Guinness World Record certificate was awarded in a ceremony attended by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of State for Electronics and IT Jitin Prasada, senior officials from the Ministries of Education and Electronics & IT, and the Guinness adjudicator Rishi Nath who validated the record.

About Pariksha Pe Charcha

Pariksha Pe Charcha is a transformative programme initiated in 2018 where Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacts directly with students, teachers, and parents ahead of examination seasons. The initiative aims to convert exam stress into a positive and joyful experience, promoting stress-free preparation and holistic, mindful learning aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Programme Objectives and Impact

PPC fosters emotional well-being, mindfulness, and academic confidence by addressing common challenges faced by students such as exam anxiety, digital distractions, time management, and emotional resilience.

It encourages a shift from rote learning to experiential and joyful education, supporting the NEP 2020 vision for holistic and inclusive learning.

The annual interaction promotes a national culture where examinations become a festival of positivity and purposeful learning rather than a source of stress.

2025 Edition Highlights

The eighth edition of PPC incorporated a wider range of engagement, featuring prominent personalities such as actor Deepika Padukone, six-time world boxing champion MC Mary Kom, and spiritual leader Sadhguru.

The programme leveraged MyGov’s technology platform to enable large-scale citizen participation, praised by Minister Jitin Prasada as a model for tech-enabled governance and civic engagement.

Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw underscored the public trust in PPC as reflected by the record-breaking registrations and lauded the inclusive and holistic nature of the initiative.

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan described the record-breaking participation as evidence of India’s collective commitment to the ideals of holistic education and its alignment with the vision of a developed India (Viksit Bharat).

Ceremony and Recognition

The Guinness World Record certificate presentation in New Delhi served as a moment of national pride, recognizing the success of a government-managed citizen engagement platform with the highest participation in a single month globally.

The presence of senior government ministers and officials highlighted the inter-ministerial coordination behind this large-scale initiative.

The validation from Guinness World Records added global recognition to an Indian government programme focused on transforming the educational ecosystem.

Conclusion

Pariksha Pe Charcha has evolved from an annual event to a nationwide movement, engaging millions of students, teachers, and parents in a dialogue that not only addresses exam-related issues but also promotes well-being, motivation, and career awareness. The 2025 edition’s Guinness World Record for the most registrations in one month underscores the programme’s unprecedented reach and impact, setting a global benchmark in citizen engagement through technology and meaningful education dialogue.
