Keralabased semiconductor startup Netrasemi has raised Rs 1.07 billion in a Series A round led by Zoho Corp and Unicorn India Ventures, marking a pivotal moment in India’s deeptech landscape.
Funding and Strategic Goals
The capital will accelerate fabrication of Netra A2000 and Netra R1000—AI/MLcapable systemonchips (SoCs) designed for edge computing.
Funds will also support scaling of Netrasemi’s patented GraphStream Hardware Acceleration Architecture.
Market Focus and Product Impact
Netrasemi’s chips target over 100 edge AI use cases across surveillance, smart infrastructure, robotics, and autonomous vehicles.
The startup has already generated $0.75 million in revenue from chip design services, with projections of 150 percent growth in FY25.
Industry Positioning
With backing from MeitY’s DLI and C2S programs, Netrasemi aims to become India’s first homegrown AI chipmaker for intelligent edge devices.
The company’s chips eliminate cloud dependency, enabling faster, cheaper, and more secure analytics ondevice.
