Marico MD and CEO Saugata Gupta has emphasized that premiumisation, diversification, and steady demand will sustain strong volume and revenue growth. With India business volumes rising 8% in FY26—the highest in seven years—Marico reported consolidated revenue of ₹13,611 crore, up 26% year-on-year, despite inflationary pressures.
Marico Ltd has posted its strongest performance in years, driven by premiumisation and rural recovery. Gupta highlighted that large consumer goods companies like Marico are better positioned than smaller rivals to navigate volatility, thanks to superior supply chains and balance sheets.
Premiumisation Strategy
Marico is focusing on expanding premium personal care and health food portfolios. Brands like Saffola, Beardo, and Just Herbs are being scaled up to capture evolving consumer preferences. Premiumisation not only boosts margins but also strengthens brand loyalty.
Financial Performance
India business volumes rose 8% in FY26, the highest in seven years.
Consolidated revenue grew 26% to ₹13,611 crore.
Net profit stood at ₹1,762 crore, up 8% year-on-year.
Q4 FY26 revenue rose 22% to ₹3,333 crore, with net profit at ₹391 crore.
Market Positioning
Gupta noted that larger incumbents are gaining share as smaller digital-native brands struggle to scale beyond ₹500 crore due to weak distribution. Marico’s strong presence in general trade and rural markets gives it a competitive edge.
Input Cost Management
Copra, which accounts for half of Marico’s input costs, corrected 30–35%, offsetting crude-linked pressures. The company has already taken marginal price increases and remains prepared for higher input costs.
