In a landmark outcome for undergraduate aspirants, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has declared the results of the Presidency University Bachelor Degree Entrance Test (PUBDET) 2025. With an extraordinary 99.17 percent of candidates clearing the exam, the announcement marks the beginning of the admission process for four-year B.A. and B.Sc. The results, released on August 25, follow weeks of legal uncertainty surrounding reservation policies and have brought relief to thousands of students across the state.

- The matter escalated to the Supreme Court, which stayed the High Court’s order, allowing WBJEEB to proceed with result publication

Exam Structure And Evaluation Updates

- PUBDET 2025 was conducted on June 21 and 22 as an OMR-based common entrance test

- The exam covered multiple subjects for admission into various Honours streams at Presidency University

- Following student objections, six questions were withdrawn from evaluation, and full marks were awarded to all candidates for those items

- The final answer key was released alongside the results to ensure transparency and fairness

Admission Process And Next Steps

- Candidates can download their rank cards by entering their application number and date of birth on the WBJEEB website

- The counselling process for undergraduate admissions will begin shortly, with dates to be announced via official notifications

- Presidency University will admit students based on merit ranks, subject preferences, and seat availability

- Students are advised to keep printed copies of their rank cards and monitor the WBJEEB portal for updates on counselling schedules

Demographic Insights And Gender Trends

- The higher success rate among female candidates reflects a continuing trend of academic excellence in West Bengal’s education landscape

- The data also highlights the growing competitiveness among students from non-state boards

Conclusion

The PUBDET 2025 results have not only reaffirmed Presidency University’s academic appeal but also showcased the resilience of students navigating legal and procedural uncertainties. With an impressive 99.17 percent pass rate, the stage is now set for a dynamic and merit-driven admission season. As the counselling process unfolds, Presidency University is poised to welcome a new cohort of scholars ready to shape the future of liberal arts and sciences in West Bengal.
