Early-stage venture capital heavyweight Unicorn India Ventures (UIV) is likely to close its ₹1,000 crore Fund III by July 2025. The fund handles deeptech sectors such as semiconductors, spacetech, and medical diagnostics, as well as SaaS and digital bets. UIV plans to utilize 75-80% of the corpus for follow-on investment in high-performing startups and the remaining portion for new ones.
With a corpus of ₹750 crore already invested and investments in 12 firms like Netrasami and EyeRov, UIV intends to make 10 more investments this year. The firm's first fund has given a return of 2.4X with an astounding 50% IRR, which is proof of its healthy track record.
By concentrating on intellectual property-driven businesses and domestic start-ups, UIV keeps fostering innovation across India.
