Saiyaara was theatrically released on July 18, 2025, and quickly became a phenomenal success, crossing ₹500 crore worldwide, securing its place as one of the biggest Hindi film hits of the year.

The film’s success was powered by the fresh pairing of Ahaan Panday, making his Bollywood debut, and Aneet Padda, who also earned widespread praise for her performance.

Following an eight-week theatrical window, the film’s OTT release on Netflix is now tentatively scheduled for September 12, 2025. This timeline aligns with standard industry practice ensuring a substantial theatrical run before digital streaming.

Netflix has acquired the digital rights to Saiyaara, further amplifying its reach through the global streaming giant’s platform.

Insights from YRF Casting Director Shanoo Sharma

Shanoo Sharma, known for discovering and nurturing stellar talents in Bollywood, enthusiastically shared an Instagram story resharing a Netflix post that confirmed the September 12 streaming date for Saiyaara.

In a recent interview, Sharma recalled the intensive training and preparation that Ahaan Panday underwent under YRF’s guidance over nearly three years before making his debut in Saiyaara.

Sharma credited the film’s strong emotional appeal and the compelling chemistry between its leads as key reasons behind its overwhelming audience connect and commercial success.

She highlighted her belief in casting as a maternal profession, emphasizing the nurturing and watchful role YRF played in shaping the newcomers' performances and public reception.

About Saiyaara: Plot and Reception

Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara is a musical romantic drama following Krish Kapoor, a troubled musician played by Ahaan Panday, who forms a profound connection with Vaani Batra, portrayed by Aneet Padda.

The film resonated deeply with audiences through its music, narrative, and performances, setting new box office records in India and overseas.

Saiyaara’s soundtrack and Mohit Suri’s comeback direction were also praised, contributing to the film’s overall memorable cinematic experience.

The film’s success is expected to strengthen the careers of its leads and open further doors for YRF’s ongoing efforts to launch promising new talent.

The digital release will enable wider accessibility, allowing audiences across India and internationally to experience the film’s emotional depth and musical charm.

In conclusion, Saiyaara’s forthcoming OTT release on Netflix from September 12, 2025, as revealed by casting director Shanoo Sharma, is poised to extend the film’s remarkable journey from box office blockbuster to a beloved streaming favourite.
