Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor Join Sule Wedding

MUMBAI, India — The marriage of Revati Sule, daughter of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SCP) Member of Parliament Supriya Sule and granddaughter of veteran political leader Sharad Pawar, culminated in a grand celebration in Mumbai on June 20, 2026. The high-profile union of Revati Sule and Sarang Lakhani converted the city's premier event space into a spectacular crossroads of Bollywood royalty, senior political leaders, and industrial magnets. Media houses, including national news agencies and online platforms, documented the arrival of top-tier celebrities, underscoring the significant societal and political capital anchored to the Pawar-Sule family alliance.

High-Profile Personalities Converge at Jio Convention Centre

The formal wedding ceremony and subsequent celebratory evening were held at the Jio Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai. A massive media contingent gathered outside the venue to capture the arrival of industrial leaders, lawmakers, and cinema icons.

Among the early arrivals from the film industry was the Bachchan family. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan arrived alongside his wife, actor-politician Jaya Bachchan, and their daughter, Shweta Bachchan Nanda. Media footage captured the veteran actor donning a traditional white kurta-pyjama complemented by an elegant statement shawl, while Jaya Bachchan selected a classic pink saree for the occasion. The family was photographed interacting with institutional leaders, including Reliance Foundation Chairperson Nita Ambani, Radhika Merchant Ambani, and industrialist Anil Ambani.

Representing the younger generation of Bollywood, actor Ranbir Kapoor made a heavily monitored entrance at the venue, sporting sharp contemporary ethnic attire. Additionally, senior actors and industry figures including Farhan Akhtar, Javed Akhtar, Boney Kapoor, Chunky Panday, and Jackie Shroff were present to offer their blessings to the newlyweds. From the political and regional entertainment sphere, BJP MP and Bhojpuri star Ravi Kishan attended the function alongside his wife, further defining the cross-party and cross-industry appeal of the gathering.

Pre-Wedding Festivities Transpire on Social Media

While the main June 20 ceremony drew intense photographic coverage of the formal arrivals, the preceding pre-wedding sangeet and cocktail festivities had already generated substantial public momentum. Visuals circulating across major entertainment portals revealed an active participation by superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

Dressed in a tailored black outfit showcasing a distinct hairstyle for his upcoming feature film King, Khan was filmed performing his classic track "Koi Mil Gaya" from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The actor shared multiple onstage interactions with the couple, offering an affectionate hug to Revati Sule and congratulating Sarang Lakhani. Singer Rahul Vaidya, who led the musical performances for the evening, publicly acknowledged the actor's presence on social media, describing the event as an intimate yet highly energized gathering of country leaders and celebrated personalities.

Corporate and Educational Pedigree of the Newlyweds

Beyond the glamorous framework of the guest list, the wedding brings together two highly educated and prominent families.

• The Bride: Revati Sule, the granddaughter of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Sharad Pawar, completed her higher education at the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

• The Groom: Sarang Lakhani is the son of Nagpur-based industrialist and political figure Arun Lakhani. He is a corporate professional holding a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Columbia Business School in New York.

Following the conclusion of the primary elite celebrations in Mumbai, official family schedules indicate that a secondary, large-scale wedding reception is scheduled to take place in Pune on July 5, 2026, intended to accommodate regional constituents, local leaders, and extended family networks.

Why It Matters

High-profile weddings of this scale in India represent more than private family milestones; they serve as critical socio-political networking hubs. The presence of senior leaders across opposing political spectrums (such as the NCP and BJP) alongside industrial titans like the Ambani family demonstrates the enduring diplomatic influence of the Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule lineage within the Indian economy and state apparatus.
