The collaboration extends to major Indian startup events including Huddle Global, Startup Mahakumbh, Scaleup in the Emirates Business Summit, and India Startups Confluence 2025, thereby creating continuous engagement opportunities.

The alliance aims to foster a two-way flow of innovation, enabling UAE startups to explore India’s enormous market while Indian ventures scale regionally through Sheraa’s entrepreneurial channels.

Siby Sudhakaran, CEO of Startup Middle East, described the India Startup Hub as a landmark initiative inspired by the legacy of Expo 2020 Dubai, showcasing India’s dynamic startup vitality and opening global doors.

Anoop Ambika, CEO of Kerala Startup Mission, underscored the diaspora advantage with over one million Malayalees in the UAE, emphasizing the Hub’s ability to harness deep sectoral expertise across oil & gas, logistics, tourism, and shipping sectors.

It is aligned with UAE and India government agendas to boost innovation, technology exchange, and regional economic integration.

The focus on startup ecosystems underscores renewed efforts to diversify economies, accelerate digital transformation, and empower next-generation entrepreneurs.

Conclusion: A Milestone for UAE-India Startup Synergies

This MoU between Sheraa and Startup Middle East marks a critical milestone in UAE-India relations by cultivating a mutually beneficial entrepreneurial corridor. The strategic formation of the Sharjah Centre of India Startup Hub promises to transform how startups navigate global markets, fostering a thriving culture of innovation.
