Bollywood actress and entrepreneur Shraddha Kapoor recently faced a surprising digital setback when her verified LinkedIn account was mistakenly flagged as fake, restricting her access and visibility on the professional networking site. The 38-year-old star took to Instagram to publicly appeal to LinkedIn for assistance, underscoring her eagerness to use the platform to share insights from her burgeoning entrepreneurial ventures alongside her acting career.

Key Highlights: Facing Online Identity Challenges

Shraddha Kapoor’s verified, premium LinkedIn account was suddenly marked fake by the platform’s automated systems, resulting in it being invisible to other users despite being active.

The actress described the ordeal as ironic since she created the account specifically to document and share her journey as a co-founder and brand ambassador of Palmonas, a homegrown demi-fine jewellery brand launched in 2022.

Tagging LinkedIn India on her Instagram story, she requested urgent help to restore her account’s access and visibility, highlighting how “getting an account itself has become a journey.”

Entrepreneurial Ventures and New Horizons

Shraddha joined Palmonas in 2023, after being a loyal customer, contributing to brand direction, marketing, and expansion efforts.

The brand attracted national attention through its appearance on Shark Tank India Season 4, securing Rs 1.26 crore in funding from prominent investors like Namita Thapar and Ritesh Agarwal.

Kapoor’s foray into entrepreneurship marks a significant evolution from her established film career, reflecting a growing trend among celebrities to diversify into business ventures.

Cinematic Journey and Upcoming Projects

On the acting front, Shraddha was last seen in the successful horror-comedy sequel “Stree 2,” released in August 2024, which grossed ₹857.15 crore worldwide.

The franchise’s third installment, announced after the blockbuster success, is slated for release in 2027, continuing Shraddha’s association with popular commercial cinema.

Rumours also suggest the actress is exploring new creative projects, with recent sightings near Maddock Films offices sparking speculation about fresh collaborations and roles.

Industry Reactions and Public Support

Fans and fellow celebrities quickly rallied around Shraddha’s social media post, expressing support and urging LinkedIn to expedite a resolution.

Film director Mohit Suri praised Shraddha’s star power and resilience during discussions on social platforms, acknowledging her continued impact on the industry.

The incident highlights challenges public figures face in digital identity management amid increased vigilance over fake profiles and online impersonation.

Broader Implications for Digital Platforms

Shraddha’s experience draws attention to the complexities of automated verification and content moderation systems that can sometimes misidentify genuine accounts.

It raises important questions about user support mechanisms, especially for verified celebrities and entrepreneurs relying on digital platforms for brand building.

The case underscores the need for enhanced communication channels between social media firms and high-profile users to minimize disruptions.

Conclusion

Shraddha Kapoor’s candid appeal to LinkedIn not only marks a personal hurdle but also serves as a reminder of the evolving digital landscape’s double-edged nature—where cutting-edge technology meets human identity and aspirations. As she navigates this challenge, her story resonates with emerging entrepreneurs, public figures, and social media users worldwide, emphasizing resilience and the relentless drive to share one’s true journey against all odds.
