The much-anticipated grand premiere of Bigg Boss 19 unfolded on August 24, 2025, with host Salman Khan bringing his trademark charisma to kick off the politically charged season themed ‘Gharwalon Ki Sarkar.’ The season promises a unique twist — contestants hold decision-making authority inside the house, while voting remains with the audience, setting the stage for strategic gameplay, alliances, and inevitable drama.

Key Highlights: Thrilling Entries and High Energy Performances

As the show began streaming on JioHotstar at 9 pm and aired on Colors TV 90 minutes later, fans were treated to a spectacular showcase featuring celebrity contestants including Baseer Ali, Abhishek Bajaj, Gaurav Khanna, Ashnoor Kaur, Amaal Malik, Awez Darbar, and many more.

Baseer Ali and Abhishek Bajaj engaged in a lively dance-off during the launch event, energizing the crowd and instantly becoming fan favorites for their confidence and stage presence.

Musical performances by singer-composer Amaal Malik, who performed his popular track ‘Kaun Tujhe,’ added star-studded glamour to the premiere.

The drama was ramped up by the anticipated entry promos and intriguing contestant backgrounds, heightening audience anticipation.

Innovative Season Theme: Contestants’ Government, Audience’s Ballot

‘Gharwalon Ki Sarkar’ marks a first in Bigg Boss history where contestants control the house governance — from chore assignments to creative twists — fostering democratic decision-making within the house.

Salman Khan introduced the revamped house styled like a tribal council with earthy décor, wigwam seating, and a lion statue symbolizing power, creating an immersive environment for intense interactions.

Unlike previous seasons, this edition does not feature a jail, but production promises alternative ways to deal with rule-breakers, ensuring tension and unpredictability.

Contestant Spotlights and Early Dynamics

Ashnoor Kaur, celebrated for her grace and talent, was the first official contestant to enter, receiving overwhelming support from fans across social media.

Gaurav Khanna brought exuberant energy, dancing to Bollywood hits and presenting a strong personality that could prove formidable inside the house.

Veteran Bigg Boss contestants Baseer Ali and Awez Darbar returned, raising expectations for intense rivalries and gameplay.

Newcomers like Abhishek Bajaj, known for his roles in ‘Student Of The Year 2’, added fresh dynamics with their bold entry styles.

Celebrity and Wildcard Buzz

Speculation surrounding potential wildcard entries includes big names like WWE’s The Undertaker and cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, stirring excitement about unexpected game-changing entrants.

The presence of multi-talented stars promises to elevate the entertainment quotient beyond traditional reality show boundaries.

Audience Engagement and Digital-First Approach

The 19th season embraces a digital-first model, premiering on JioHotstar, allowing early viewers exclusive catch-before-TV access and interactive features.

The audience will influence game elements via voting and social media, integrating fans deeper into the strategy and progression of the show.

Conclusion

Bigg Boss 19’s launch episode set the tone for what promises to be the longest, most strategically complex season yet. With contestants empowered to govern their microcosm and Salman Khan’s guiding presence, excitement and drama are poised to reach new heights. Fans eagerly await unfolding rivalries, emotional moments, and power plays that define ‘Gharwalon Ki Sarkar’—a season where family-like bonds clash with political machinations inside the iconic Bigg Boss house.
