Key Highlights: Metro In Dino Set for Netflix Debut

Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino, a spiritual sequel to his much-loved 2007 film Life in a... Metro, is set for its Netflix premiere on August 29, 2025, following its acclaimed theatrical run earlier in July.

The film is a mosaic of contemporary love stories spanning Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, and Bengaluru, starring a powerhouse ensemble — Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

With Pritam’s soulful music, interwoven urban narratives, and cameos by Imtiaz Ali and Anurag Basu himself, the film explores modern relationships, heartbreak, and self-discovery.

What Else to Stream: Blockbusters & Global Hits

Thunderbolts, Marvel Studios’ latest superhero ensemble, makes its global debut this week on Disney+, reuniting antiheroes and beloved villains in a high-octane mission. With a star-studded cast, the film promises explosive action, sharp humor, and deep moral dilemmas as familiar faces band together to save the world from shadowy threats.

The critically acclaimed South Korean historical thriller Kingdom drops a fresh season on Netflix. Known for blending royal intrigue, political conspiracies, and fast-paced zombie action, Kingdom continues its tale of survival and power struggles amid plague-ridden Joseon dynasty.

Dhadak 2 and Son of Sardaar 2 are also anticipated to join Netflix’s lineup by late September. These sequels, riding the buzz of their predecessors, aim to recapture and reimagine iconic storylines with new leads and unique twists.

Themes, Soundtracks, and Standouts

Metro In Dino’s soundtrack, composed by Pritam, stands out with melodious tracks that became chartbusters even before its digital release. Lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya add emotional depth, creating an immersive musical experience.

Thunderbolts combines Marvel’s signature action set pieces with nuanced backstories for each central character, delving into redemption and unlikely camaraderie.

Kingdom continues to draw global acclaim for its visually rich production, tense plotting, and cultural storytelling—fusing horror with historical drama to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

All major new releases will be available in multiple languages, broadening their appeal and accessibility for India’s diverse streaming audience.
