The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, is set to announce the results for the first round of seat allotment for the MP NEET UG Counselling 2025 tomorrow, August 18, 2025. Aspirants who have applied for medical and dental admissions will be able to check their allotment status on the official website dme.mponline.gov.in. This announcement carries major significance for thousands of candidates eyeing MBBS and BDS seats under the state quota this year.

Background and Delay in Result Announcement

Initially, the MP NEET UG Round 1 seat allotment result was scheduled for release on August 6 but was postponed due to a revision of the counselling timetable announced by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. This revision resulted in extended registration and choice filling dates, along with a revised merit list released on August 12. Candidates who fulfilled the eligibility and registration criteria then proceeded to lock their choices between August 13 and 15.

Important Dates Post-Result Announcement

Seat Allotment Result Release: August 18, 2025
Reporting at Allotted Colleges for Document Verification and Admission: August 19 to August 23, 2025
Option for Seat Upgrade and Confirmation: During admission reporting period until August 23
Seat Cancellation/Resignation at College Level: August 19 to August 24, 2025

Candidates who are allotted seats in this round must report in person to their respective colleges within the stipulated timeframe for verification processes and admission formalities. Those dissatisfied with their allotment may choose to cancel their seats and register for subsequent counselling rounds to seek better options.

Seat Distribution and Eligibility

For the academic year 2025-26, state medical and dental colleges collectively offer:

Around 2,638 MBBS seats
Approximately 2,200 MBBS seats in private institutions
About 1,170 BDS seats in government and private dental colleges

Seats are allocated based on the merit list prepared considering NEET UG ranks, candidate preferences, reservation categories (including All India Quota, Persons with Disability, Sainik, Freedom Fighters, Government Schools quota), and seat availability.
